RL Marine was founded by Ross Lindsay, a marine engineer who grew up around boats on the West Coast of Scotland. After years working in the industry, Ross set out to build a business that put quality and honesty first — no shortcuts, no upselling, just solid marine engineering done properly.

What started as a one-man operation has grown into a trusted name across the region. We work with private boat owners, brokers, and commercial operators who rely on us to keep their vessels in peak condition season after season.

We are  a Volvo Penta service point dealer and hold VODIA diagnostic capability — meaning we can diagnose and repair faults that many independant mechanics simply cannot. Whether it's a routine annual service or a complex drivetrain overhaul, we bring the same level of care to every job.
